Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) is a powerful form of therapy that combines techniques from hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), psychotherapy and neuroscience.
RTT is designed to help you understand the thoughts, beliefs and experiences that may be influencing how you feel and behave today.
Rather than simply focusing on the problem you’re experiencing now, RTT helps you explore what may be underneath it. Together, we look at the beliefs and patterns that have developed over time and identify the ones that may no longer be serving you.
Through therapy and hypnosis, we work on changing these unhelpful beliefs and patterns and replacing them with healthier, more supportive ways of thinking and responding. The aim is to help you understand yourself differently, feel differently and create positive changes in your everyday life.
One of the things that makes RTT different is that it can often create significant insight and change in a relatively short period of time. Some people notice a difference after one session, while others may need additional sessions depending on what they’re working through.
Most importantly, RTT is tailored to you. There is no one-size-fits-all approach — we work together to understand what’s going on for you and what you need to move forward.
RTT® was developed by renowned therapist Marisa Peer and is endorsed by multiple organizations including the American Board of Hypnotherapy , National & International Council of Psychotherapists, Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council, and the International Association of Complementary Therapists.
Don’t worry — RTT hypnosis is nothing like stage hypnosis. You won’t be made to do anything embarrassing, lose control or say anything you don’t want to say. You remain aware and in control throughout the entire session.
Hypnosis is a deeply relaxed and focused state where your mind becomes more open to looking at things from a different perspective and making positive changes. It allows us to quieten the busy, conscious mind and work with the deeper patterns and beliefs that may be influencing how you think, feel and behave.
During an RTT session, we may gently explore experiences from your past to understand where certain beliefs, fears or patterns may have come from. You are always in control of what you share, and we work at a pace that feels comfortable and safe for you.
The aim isn’t to make you relive difficult experiences. It’s to help you understand them differently, let go of unhelpful beliefs and create new, healthier ways of thinking and responding.
Think of your subconscious mind as the part of your mind that stores the experiences, beliefs and patterns you’ve picked up throughout your life. It influences how you feel, how you respond and many of the habits and behaviours you do automatically.
Your subconscious mind controls around 95% of your bodily processes and genetic expression, as well as many of your habitual and automatic behaviours.
Your conscious mind is where your thoughts, decisions and willpower come from. This is why you can consciously decide, “I’m going to eat healthier,” “I’m not going to smoke,” or “I’m going to stop overthinking,” but still find yourself falling back into the same patterns.
This is why so many people get stuck in cycles like dieting — using willpower to restrict, eventually struggling to maintain it, going back to old habits and then starting again.
Change can begin in a single 90-minute session.
